Audio Generation Guide
How to convert articles to audio, configure script templates, and use clone voices.
Overview
PUBVOICE converts web articles into audio content. Audio generation follows this flow:
- Articles are fetched from the RSS feed
- Scripts are generated based on script templates
- Audio files are created via text-to-speech synthesis
Script Templates
What Are Prompt Patterns?
Script templates are instructions for generating audio scripts from articles. Customize the prompt to control the tone and speaking style of the audio.
Configuring a Prompt
- Open the "Prompt Patterns" page
- Click "Create New" to add a prompt
- Enter a prompt name and content
- Select the prompt from the article list to generate a script
Example Prompt
You are a friendly newscaster.
Create a read-aloud script based on the following article.
Requirements:
- Reading time should be around 3 minutes
- Add brief explanations for technical terms
- Use a conversational tone
- Include a greeting and summary at the beginning

What Are Clone Voices?
The clone voice feature lets you generate audio in a specific voice. Upload a voice sample and generate audio that closely matches it.
Registering a Clone Voice
- Open the "Clone Voices" page
- Click "Register New"
- Upload a voice name and sample audio file (WAV format)
- Once the review is complete, the voice becomes available for audio generation
About Clone Voices
We do not actively review clone voice submissions. However, voices that may infringe on copyrights may be removed without prior notice.
Audio Generation Steps
Select an Article
Choose the article you want to convert from the "Article List" page
Select a Prompt
Choose the prompt pattern to use for script generation
Generate Script
Click "Generate Script" and the AI will create a read-aloud script
Generate Audio
Click "Generate Audio" to create the audio file
Generation Statuses
| Status | Description |

| Draft | Waiting for script generation |
| Generating Script | Script is being generated |
| Script Complete | Script generated, waiting for audio |
| Generating Audio | Audio is being generated |
| Complete | Generation finished, playable in the player |
| Error | An error occurred during generation |
Limitations
- Scripts are limited to 10,000 characters per article
- Audio files are generated in MP3 format
- Audio generation may take several minutes
- Monthly generation limits apply depending on your plan
Troubleshooting
Script not generating
- Check that the article body is not empty
- Verify that the prompt is configured correctly
Audio not generating
- Verify that the script was generated correctly
- Check that the selected voice has completed review
Poor audio quality
- Check the quality of the clone voice sample
- Make sure the script doesn't contain unnatural characters or symbols
